Where will the housing developments be?

The housing developments will be constructed on lands to the North and North-East of Municipal Boulevard and to the west of Phoenix Park, Portmore, St. Catherine.

Does the master plan include environmentally friendly initiatives?

The Bernard Lodge Development Master Plan was sponsored by the National Environment and Planning Agency (NEPA). All possible friendly initiatives will be adopted in the planning and execution of the proposed development.

What is the water source for the housing developments?

Water for the housing developments will be sourced from wells at Craigallachie and Inswood numbers 1 and 3, all of which are outside of the Bernard Lodge Aquifer Protection Zone.

How do I apply for housing?

Appropriate notifications will appear in the media once the houses become available for sale by developers.

What are the prices and lot sizes for the housing developments?

The prices have not yet been determined. The lots will be of varying sizes and will be priced accordingly.

Is the Bernard Lodge Development different from the Catherine Estates?

The Greater Bernard Lodge Development is different from Catherine Estates. Catherine Estates is a housing development by the Housing Agency of Jamaica Ltd., whilst the Bernard Lodge Development will comprise several different housing schemes, to be built by individual housing developers.

Who are the developers of the housing schemes?

The Bernard Lodge Development will comprise several different housing schemes to be built by individual housing developers including Gore, Kemtek and New Era Building.

Will the schemes be owned by the National Housing Trust or the Housing Agency of Jamaica?

The Development is sponsored by SCJ Holdings Limited and is not owned by either the National Housing Trust or the Housing Agency of Jamaica.
